Into the Woods

Somebody please stop Rob Marshall! For heavens sake it’s like he decided to destroy everything good. He does something to every movie so it becomes barely watchable. Like his films before, this one too has great cast. And that cast, like few before, look like they heard what director wants but they’re not really sure. Except Meryl Streep because she read minds, probably.

So that cast runs around singing and acting in glorious CGI that happens behind. In the end, complete result is fake-it-’till-you-make-it which creates astonishing boredom and unhappiness for the audience, or at least me.

I really like musicals, but in this case it’s not helping what I think of lyrics for this one. So, it all felt like big budget Once Upon a Time (TV show) with average and repetitive music.
